We are very proud to sell Master Minomo’s knives. This amazing family is in their 10th generation of blacksmithing.

Unbelievably, they have kept their forge burning for over 200 years! They forge their knives in the city of Hitoyoshi in Kumamoto prefecture. If you ever have the luck of visiting their town, we recommend checking out the Aoi Aso Shrine.  It was founded in 806 and is a Japanese national treasure. The Minomo family also participate in the town’s Craft Park. Master Minomo will help you make your very own knife. It’s harder than it looks but a fantastic experience!!
